April 2026

Helloooooo!! DANG YALL I miss working on this site. I haven’t had much down time since January… Asia, Europe, South, Midwest, West Coast, Coachella, couple Canada dates, PNW…. bout to do the three Cat’s Cradle dates and then Australia/New Zealand… then it’s festival season, a bunch of dates opening for Tyler Childers and Bleachers, then two tours we’ve yet to announce…. whew.

Here’s last months viddy collage

Here’s the music I’ve been listening to in 2026 so far

Here are the archived eps of my NTS radio show, another one comes out soonish! (first episode is songs that got me through the asia/ europe tour, second episode is North Carolina bands pt.1, third episode will be showcasing my top 5 bands of all time)

As always I feel like a completely new person every tour, this one was no different. I can’t believe all these sold out shows we get to play in these big ass venues… the people singing the words I wrote… the energy and undivided attention ya’ll grant us. I’m the luckiest.

Coachella was an interesting experience… when I rolled up to the Airbnb in Joshua tree we were staying at there was a sign on the door of the room I was gonna stay in that said “Beware of Rats'“… felt apt but I could NOT sleep in there.

The water pressure in the shower was so light I could barely wash the soap out of my hair. I was really nervous that I would look like shit at the festival full of alien beautiful people and celebrities. I moved my mattress to the living room floor and ended up sleeping okay and luckily got fitted the hell out by my stylist Isa and felt really good at the festival! Although we did have to play the set without doing a soundcheck or EVEN a line check!! Which we had never ever had to do…. as I’m sure you could imagine the show sounded INSANE in my ears because we had no time to dial anything in.

Saw a bunch off really good music though and got to hang with a bunch of sweetie new friends <3 My favorite sets were Oklou, Central Cee, Ethel Cain, Fleshwater, Model/Actriz and Jane Remover. I didn’t go either weekend on Saturday cause I was too tuckered out, but it looked like a lot of cool shit went down on that day. Would’ve loved to see Slayyter but here set was right as we had to set up for ours :(

I finished this book of short stories on tour called “Bad Behavior” by Mary Gaitskill and I absolutely adored it. She does my favorite thing writers can do which is putting two words that shouldn’t go together next to each other in the perfect way… Here’s some shit I underlined:

“blameless little weeds”

“dislocated… queasy scramble”

“humming cocoon”

this is the type of stuff I’m constantly looking for to borrow/steal in my own lyrics.

I also watched the Nirvanna the band the show the movie ! I loved it !! Nothin like it I ever seen before. I like that it involves real people and situations but doesn’t have like a stressful vibe like Nathan or You which I cannot handle. It’s all so pure of heart.

I think the OG show is even better… My friend sent me a link to stream it a while ago but it might not still be active. That ish was like a 9/10 for me! The Ben Folds song in the credits gets me everyyyy time.

Here’s all the dates we have announced so far :) the three cats cradle shows obvi

I got my hair cut professionally for the first time in years right before tour and some extensions cause I cut off my hair in Japan and instantly regretted it. It felt sooooo good to have my long hair back and I’m doubling down on devoting to growing it out.

was feeling myself obviously with my new hair… I felt like a new woman!!!!

I watched this movie Sirat on my way home that had all these really positive reviews. There was some frrrrr stressful moments that were really evocative of that movie Climax.

I’m not afraid to admit i’m prone to the American movie goers tendency where I tend to like when shit gets all tied up with a bow at the end… and you get like a pay off in some way of the initial goal… this movie does not give you that. It was like a 4/10 for me, but did pass the time fr. Some really cute dogs in this movie <3

The idea of shopping has been really nauseating to me recently…. I think I shopped so much in Japan and Taiwan that I can’t bring myself to do it. At least as far as clothes go. I’ve more been getting CD’s and tapes on the road. I’ve got a bunch and I can’t remember what I’ve already shared on here.

I did get gifted these shoes by Jeffery Campbell though and i’m really obsessed w em.

I reckon that’s all I got in me for now tbhh!! I’ll be seeing ya on the road til forever!
