I loved this. You’ll love it too if you like Harry Crews books about shitty old men like I do.
Two veterans talking in a hospital over night.
Flashbacks of the horrors of war and life in general.
First chapter is odd but it got it’s footing for me very soon after.
The end is fucking devastating.

This movie had me feeling insane. From the Herzog collection on Criterion… I gotta watch more while they’re up! I’ve only seen this, Grizzly Man and Burden of Dreams (not technically Herzog but you know what i mean)
Lots of lizards… those scenes never felt long although they definitely were. What a delight.

I also loved this book! My first Cormac, I’ll definitely be reading some more.
This book is really fucked up tho tbh…. but if you like stressful ass stories about fucked up guys (is this the only kind of book I read?) you’ll like this.
